DYLAN BOLTON SIGNS ON AS CLUB COACH FOR SEASON 2016-17
The Stratford Cricket Club is excited to announce Dylan Bolton as club coach for Season 2016-17, Dylan is an aggressive off spinner and hard hitting middle order batsman with over 230 wickets and 2600 runs at SMCA first grade and league representative level.
Dylan arrives at Stratford after playing a majority of his cricket at Boisdale-Briagolong and more recently Lakes Entrance in the Bairnsdale Cricket Association, where he was club champion last season. Dylan has travelled abroad to enhance his cricketing skills playing for Ebberston twice in 2012 & 2014 in the Scarborough Beckett District Cricket League, Dylan was a damaging player with both bat and ball regularly scoring big runs and taking wickets whilst in England. Dylan has also been a consistent performer at league representative level, regularly featuring in Country Week and GCL teams for both Bairnsdale and Sale Maffra Cricket Association, Dylan was an integral member of SMCA’s most recent Provincial Country Week winning team of 2014 heading the wickets and lending valuable lower order runs, last year he was Bairnsdale’s leading wicket taker and again proved his batting was more than capable finishing in the top three run getters at both GCL and Country Week.
As club coach Dylan will bring a wealth of experience having been captain of Boisdale-Briagolong for four years, Dylan made Boisdale-Briagolong consistent finals contenders and led them to their only Grand Final appearance in 2014. As a proven performer at club and league level Stratford Cricket Club feel Dylan is very much suited to coaching our club as he has a great understanding of the role and is clear in terms of what he can offer to us. Dylan’s experience and knowledge of the game is well documented and is something we hold in high regard but more importantly we were impressed with his desire to be a leader of a club striving to be the best it can be.
