Time for another club update!
CAPTAINS
The club recently appointed its remaining positions for captaincy at its last meeting; we would like to congratulate the following members:
1st Grade Vice Captain: Jack Rietcshel
2nd Grade Captain: Simon Waixel
3rd Grade Captain: Sam Anstee
4th Grade Captain: Bruce Derham
T20 Redbacks Captain: Jack Riestchel T20 “Bushmen” Captain: Zac Penn
PLAYING
Training is now on Tuesday & Thursday from 5.00pm until dark. Practice matches are to be held this Saturday & Sunday (both at home) against Imperials & Lakes Entrance (Saturday) – Sale (Sunday). Sides for these games will be picked this week. The season kicks off for the first team on AFL Grand Final Eve against Longford at home, we may hold another Interclub T20 on that day, so stay tuned.

AFL Grand Final Eve - 30th September against Longford @ Stratford (Sam Anstee 200th game celebration) Tea will be available from 6.00pm.
Trivia Night - 7th of October hosted by Caz Collins ($10 per person)
Zac Penn & Ben Channing 100th game celebration – 8th of October. First round of club matches - match reports and tea.

JUNIORS
Junior Registration day for U12, 14 and 16 will be held on Wednesday 21st September from 3.30pm to 5pm at the clubrooms. Registration forms and fees to be paid on day. $80 per junior player or $280 for Family (this includes 1 adult and at least 2 children). Training will be provided by Taylor Tatterson, Jack Rietschel and Simon Waixel. Hope to see all juniors if possible; a free sausage sizzle will be conducted on the night!
CLUB NEWS
Congrats to junior players Lachy Sutherland & Ethan Kincaid Shingles winning junior league best and fairest awards, also congratulations to club member Payton Albrecht who was voted as Catholic College Sale School Captain. Bohdi Walker starred for Sale City in there NGFNL Senior Grand Final win over Heyfield. A big congratulations to Chris Aurisch & Rhiannon Brunt who celebrated the birth of Archie, also Sam & Jess Bristow who celebrated the birth of Louis! Well done all!!
THANKS
A massive thanks to all who went to TNF, it defeinitely gave eberyone a good insight to higher level training and coaching, hopefully we can bring some of the skills we learnt into our training.
